dog tag & ruby & diamond rings remodelled into ruby & diamond strand ring

In this jewellery remodelling project we took a customers gold dog tag & ruby & diamond rings & upcycled them into a stunning ruby & diamond strand ring.

This photo shows some of the stages throughout the remodelling process. Firstly the customers existing jewellery, then the gold block formed by melting the jewellery after the gemstones were removed. The next photo shows the gold block milled out into wire, then the wire formed with the wider section & rubover settings soldered on. The last, larger image shows the finished piece!

The rubies were rublver set, whilst the diamonds were thread & grain set.
