Laser engraving – PROS: very precise & the most affordable type of engraving CONS: Not as deep as deep seal engraving although is deep enough to last a lifetime.

Deep seal engraving – PROS: incredible craftsmanship. The design is deeply engraved in reverse into the ring enabling a wax seal impression to be taken from the ring creating a real family heirloom piece. CONS: Price. The labour involved means this can cost as much, or even more than the ring itself.

Hand engraving – PROS: ideal for monograms CONS: Not as crisp as laser engraving, or as detailed as deep seal engraving.
