In this jewellery remodelling project a customer brought in 2 rings that had great sentimental value because they belonged to her mother. The new piece of jewellery was going to be a gift for her daughter to wear on her wedding day. Bearing in mind the sentimental attachment the customer wanted the new jewellery (a pair of Diamond ear studs) to be a nod to the original rings. The family rings were ‘crossover’ designs with sweeping, curved shanks. using this an inspiration we framed the Diamonds with 2 crescent like shapes with beaded millgrain detailing (a feature also found on the original rings).
