Round diamond set to look square. This illusion set engagement ring features a grain-set round brilliant diamond that has been outlined with a thin square of palladium in a square setting on a flat, parallel shank of 2.2mm wide.

The square border around the round diamond and the additional square setting make the round diamond appear as if it were square. Round cut diamonds are known for their sparkle and this allows you a square looking ring without choosing a princess cut diamond. 

Round diamonds are prized for their light performance, but they have a smaller face-up view than other diamond shapes. The square shaped illusion setting makes it appear as wide as a princess cut diamond. 

The grain-set centre gives a smooth, flat profile making it an excellent ring for those in jobs where a high profile ring would be troublesome. The ring appears as if it were a square rubover setting, but you don’t sacrifice sparkle by covering the diamond.
