This double halo engagement ring features an oval cut diamond secured by four claws with two rings of milgrain halos encrusted in round diamonds. The shoulders start as two separate trails of diamonds becoming one.

From the profile view, the engagement ring features ornate designs and negative space, similar to a cathedral engagement ring setting. An engraving has been delicately inscribed on the inside of the ring, known as the walls. 

While many of our engagement ring designs are inspired by the Art Deco, this piece reflects trends and styles that were popular during the Edwardian period of 1901 to 1914. This jewellery era saw in delicate jewellery designs and intricate metalwork. 

Milgrain is a detail used in many different vintage engagement rings, but is usually Art Deco inspired when using geometric shapes and lines. Tiny beads of precious metal is applied 

The Edwardian period also used milgrain, but filigree was a technique often used. It involves using metal wiring to apply ornate and garden inspired designs to the setting. Wavy and free flowing lines in delicate settings were more indicative of Edwardian engagement rings.
